Geonkhali is an excellent picnic spot in the Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal. The point where the three rivers Rupnarayan, Bhagirathi and Damodar meet is located very close to Geonkhali. It makes the place very scenic and beautiful. In winter many tourists come here to spend some days or just for a picnic. From here a path goes to Haldia Development Authority Tourist Complex. One can watch the coming and going of the ships. You can take a boat ride from Geonkhali to Gadiara. Mahishadal is another nearby attraction, 16 km from Geonkhali.
