Pushpabon is a beautiful picnic spot in Diamond Harbour in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Diamond Harbour is well known for offering one of the most impressive views of the Hooghly River. The riverside is not far from Pushpabon Picnic Spot. You can easily go for a stroll along the riverside. While at the Diamond Harbour you must check out the natural beauty of the place. Besides the nature, there are the ruins of a Portuguese fort called Chingrikhali Fort (locally known as Purano Kella).

How to Reach

Local trains are running from Sealdah (South) station to Diamond Harbour. Frequent bus service is also available from Esplanade Bus Terminus to Diamond Harbour. You can ride a Toto from Diamond Harbour railway station or bus stand to reach Pushpabon. By car, you can directly reach Pushpabon via Diamond Harbour Road. The picnic spot is situated opposite Hotel Mahuya.

Bawali Farmhouse

Bawali Farmhouse is a fantastic picnic venue located in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Sprawling over 9 bighas of land, the farmhouse is graced with placid ponds, a lush green field, flower gardens and lots of greenery to soothe your senses. How to Reach

Local trains are running from Sealdah to Budge Budge Station. From Budge Budge Station, you can take auto rickshaws to reach Bawali. By road, you can reach Bawali by taking the road connecting Thakurpukur to Bakrahat or Taratala to Bakrahat. Direct buses like SD76 would also take you to Bawali from Kolkata.

Bishram Baganbari

Bisram Bagan Bari is a lovely picnic spot near Taki in West Bengal. It is situated at a 2 minutes walking distance from Ichamati River. Bangladesh, India's neighbouring country, lies on the opposite bank of this river. Embraced by soothing natural surroundings, Bishram Baganbari is one of the best picnic spots of Taki. Located a little away from the main tourist spot of Taki, the farmhouse houses a beautiful pond, an open lawn for kids to play, a temple and a small art gallery. You can hire a van rickshaw or a toto and visit the Mini Sunderban, Eco Tourism Park, Rajbari and Pratip Saikat. Several temples namely Nandalal Jiu Temple, Jora Shiv Mandir and Kuleshwari Kali Bari are also worth a visit. One can even go for a boat ride in the waters of the Ichamati River.

How to Reach

You can reach Taki Road from Sealdah by Hasnabad Local. Van rickshaws and totos (e-rickshaw) are available from Taki Road station to reach Bisram Baganbari near Saidpur BSF Camp.

Indira Ghat Park

Indira Ghat Park is a fantastic picnic spot located near Budge Budge in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Developed and maintained by the Pujali Municipality, the park is situated on the bank of Hooghly River. There is a large lawn along with ample sitting arrangements on the riverside. Be mesmerized as you treat your eyes with the soothing scenery of the river while listening to the melodious singing of birds. Notable attractions include an aviary and an aquarium apart from slips, swings and other fun attractions that children will fall in love with. There is a playground beside Indira Park.

A little walk from there will take you to Indira Ghat Park. If you plan to go by car, drive to Batanagar Charial More from Kolkata via Taratala and Budge Budge Trunk Road. CESC Budge Budge Thermal Power Station is about 1.5 km from Charial More. Choto Bottala lies very close to CESC Budge Budge Unit.

Ullas Picnic Spot

Ullas Picnic Spot is an awesome picnic spot located 3 km from Bandel Railway Station in Hooghly district of West Bengal. Local trains are running from Howrah to Bandel. Ullas Picnic Garden is 3 km from Bandel station. Auto rickshaws and totos are available from Bandel station to reach Ullas Picnic Spot. If you plan to go by car, you can come via BT Road/Dunlop/Dakshineswar and then take the Delhi Road. From Rajhat More in Bandel, you have to take right turn towards Bandel Station Road. Ullas Picnic Garden is a 1-minute drive from Rajhat More. The picnic spot will be on the left side of the road.
